This privacy policy explains how Huvo Health ("Huvo", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit huvohealth.com (the "Site"), buy from us, or contact us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and what you ordered.
- Messages you send us, including support requests and anything you choose to share in them.
- Marketing preferences, such as whether you signed up for emails.
- Reviews or feedback you choose to publish.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site we and our service providers collect device and usage information through cookies and similar technologies: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and how you interact with the Site. See "Cookies and advertising" below.
Your body measurements
Huvo Scale Pro works with the Fitdays app, which is provided by a third party, not by Huvo. Measurements you take with the scale are processed by that app under its own privacy policy and terms. Huvo does not receive your body measurements unless you choose to send them to us, for example in a support request. If you do, we use them only to help you.
How we use information
- To process and deliver your orders, including sharing shipping details with our fulfillment partners and carriers.
- To provide customer support, warranty service and returns.
- To send order and shipping updates.
- To send marketing emails if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To show you relevant advertising, where permitted by law and your choices.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.
- Payment providers such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Fulfillment partners and carriers, including our manufacturing and fulfillment partner, which may be located outside your country (including in China), to ship your order. They receive your name, shipping address, phone number and order contents.
- Marketing and analytics providers, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and our email provider, to measure and improve our advertising and communications.
- Professional advisors and authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
Some US state laws treat sharing data for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing". You can opt out at any time (see "Your choices and rights").
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies for the Site to work, to remember your bag, to understand traffic, and for advertising. Where required, we ask for your consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your choices at any time. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required by law.
International transfers
We are based in Canada and our service providers operate in other countries, including the United States and China. Your information may be processed outside your country, where privacy laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
How long we keep information
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to 7 years), support records for as long as needed to help you, and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including Canada, US states such as California, the UK, the EU and Australia), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; to opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" or "sharing"; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a privacy regulator. To make a request, contact us at support@huvohealth.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.
